Mexico is a vibrant land of rich culture, colorful traditions, and of course, incredible, mouthwatering cuisine. When Jorge Carreno emigrated to America from Mexico City, he was determined not to leave behind the tastes and aromas of the culinary fusion of the street food found in Mexico City and Oaxaca. Working as a chef in the Mahoning Valley, he quickly realized that there was no place in the region that offered the quality of cuisine of his homeland. In an effort to change that, he founded El Hefe, in Girard, Ohio.
